Welcome to Grass Parrot Vineyard, a small family-run vineyard situated in the Central Ranges region of New South Wales, south of the city of Bathurst. We specialise in cool climate wines, predominantly estate-grown Shiraz, Cabernet Franc and other varieties.

The name Grass Parrot resulted from a good-humoured exchange with a local character who, on hearing we had just purchased our small acreage, and with a twinkle in his eye, proclaimed to the crowded pub,

"You think you’re a cocky? You’re only a grass parrot!"

We are small-scale and have many grass parrots visiting the vineyard, our brand was born. Vale Bert, and thanks for the terrific name.
